Cultural Activities

At least once a session, the Center for Second Languages Intensive English Program communication classes have a cultural activity in which the class goes to an interesting location to have fun and use their English outside the classroom.

The places we go change each session. Below are links to a few of the places we’ve visited:

• Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History

• Fred Jones, Jr. Museum of Art

• Medieval Fair

• Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge

• Little River Zoo

• Six Flags over Texas Amusement Park

We also have regularly scheduled all-school picnics, a potluck dinner for Culture Night, birthday celebrations and many other activities. At the CESL IEP, we provide many different opportunities outside the classroom for students to use their English skills.
